Yukon Freedom Fest includes music, cars

YUKON — The sky will be lit with fireworks Friday and Saturday as the Yukon Freedom Fest celebrates Independence Day at Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W Vandament.

Mike Black and the Stingrays will perform from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. Friday, followed by Irv Wagner’s Concert Band at 8:15 p.m. The band is Mike Black, Ira Pugh, Graham Pugh and Rick Alongi. They will perform country and rock music from the 1950s and ’60s.

The Irv Wagner Concert Band will play patriotic songs to honor Yukon’s veterans.

Mid-America Street Rods Car Show will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at City Park, 2200 S Holly. Admission is free, but the cost to enter a vehicle is $20. Prizes will be awarded at 4 p.m.

Rodeo Opry Band will perform songs from 5 to 8 p.m., and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic will take the stage from 8 to 8:30 p.m.
