Hark, the Sooner Santa brings, hopes for glorious seasons greetings.

Football season. Basketball seasons. Baseball and softball and volleyball…

In 2006, the Sooners savored success in many sports.

Still, some are looking under the tree for something to make it a special '07.

•For Bob Stoops and the OU football team: A Fiesta Bowl victory? Sure. But that will hold Sooner fans over for, oh, 13 minutes. So beyond a desert delight, how about a capable quarterback to fill what may be the missing piece to plans for a return to national title contention and the BCS title game, which next year returns to New Orleans.

•For Sherri and Courtney and Co.: A trip to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. OK, it's a must-do excursion, yet secondary on a planned March trip to Cleveland, site of this year's Women's Final Four.

•For Sunny Golloway: A quiet, harmonious and uneventful year -- off the field.

•For the volleyball team: A second helping of Sweet-ness. The Sooners look to build on arguably their greatest season, finishing a program-high 12th in the final poll after a run to the Sweet 16.

•For the cross country teams: Some help for juniors
