Two giraffes face long trip to Tulsa
SARA PLUMMER - Tulsa World
TULSA — The Tulsa Zoo ’s staff is busy turning Samburu the giraffe’s bachelor pad into a home suitable for two new female giraffes.

The zoo hopes to get the two females in October, one from a zoo in Santa Barbara , Calif. , and the other from the Wilds Zoo near Cumberland, Ohio.

The 9-year-old California giraffe is being donated, and the Tulsa Zoo is buying the 5-year-old Ohio giraffe.
