Five epic plays from the glory days of OU-Nebraska, 1971-88:
• 1. 1971 Johnny Rodgers' punt return: The 72-yard touchdown in the first quarter remains the seminal play from the Game of the Century. Husker radio voice Lyell Bremser called it this way: "HE'S ALL THE WAY HOME! HOLY MOLY. Man, woman and child, did that put 'em in the aisles. Johnny ‘The Jet' Rodgers just tore 'em loose from their shoes."

• 2. 1986 Keith Jackson's catch: Barry Switzer's magic won it for OU 20-17. Switzer played for a tie and got a win, thanks to Jackson's one-handed catch that produced a 41-yard gain and set up the winning field goal with six seconds left.
• 3. 1978 Billy Sims' fumble: OU was the nation's best team but lost 17-14 when Sims, at the end of a 17-yard gain, fumbled with less than four minutes left. Jeff Hansen knocked the ball loose, and Jim Pillen recovered for Nebraska at its 3-yard line.
• 4. 1985 Keith Jackson's reverse: On the game's third play, Jackson went 88 yards on a tight-end around, and the Sooners zoomed to a 27-7 victory.
• 5. 1976 Double Trickery: Down 17-13 with 3:30 left, OU went 85 yards for the winning TD. It used two trick plays — Woodie Shepard's 47-yard halfback pass to Steve Rhodes, then a hook-and-lateral on 3rd-and-20 from the Husker 34. Quarterback Dean Blevins threw to Rhodes, who pitched to the sprinting Elvis Peacock. The play reached the Husker 2-yard line, and Peacock scored on the next play.
