Swine flu claims first victim in Bosnia

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina (AP) — Officials are reporting Bosnia's first death from swine flu.

Officials from the Institute for microbiology in Sarajevo confirmed Monday that a 40-year-old man who died Sunday evening in a hospital in the southern city of Mostar died of complications caused by H1N1.

Initial reports given by the Mostar hospital said the man died of pneumonia.

Health authorities said that so far laboratories have confirmed 163 cases in the country.
