Spill disrupting Interstate 44 traffic in Oklahoma City

A spill on Interstate 44 at SW 15th Street is causing traffic problems tonight.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said two inside lanes of Interstate 44 southbound are open. The outside lane and the 15th Street off ramp are still closed.

An Oklahoma City police officer said a spill of either a chemical or oil was causing vehicles to lose traction on the highway.

One witness said the spill was nearly a mile long.
