Sam Noble Museum plans after-school events

NORMAN — The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, 2401 Chautauqua Ave., will offer Spike's Club, an after-school program for first- through fifth-graders, beginning Sept. 2. Registration is under way for fall and winter.

Participants will explore museum galleries, study objects from museumcollections, play games and do craft and science projects. Cost is $35 per session for museum members and $45 for nonmembers. Sessions are six weeks each. Participants will receive a Spike's Club T-shirt with registration.

The fall session, "Egg-cellent Science,” will be in conjunction with "Hatching the Past: The Great Dinosaur Egg Hunt” opening Oct. 11. Participants will investigate eggs of all shapes and sizes, from dinosaurs to chickens.

Session I, for first- and second-graders, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Sept. 2. Session II, for third- through fifth-graders, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursdays beginning Sept. 4.
