Purina products joining in battle to defeat breast cancer

Inspired by a cancer survivor’s story of the role her cat played during the woman’s battle with cancer, Purina Cat Chow is inviting people to go online to www.catchow.com/pink to hear survivor stories and share photos of support. For every photo uploaded, Purina Cat Chow will donate $1 to breast cancer research up to $10,000.

A recent national survey of breast cancer survivors with cats revealed that 84 percent of respondents felt that their cat had a beneficial calming effect on the owner during their battle with breast cancer, and 76 percent of respondents received daily support from their cat during treatment.
