if any should have been let go it should have been holder, looks like the new prez hargis, should have intervened or he s too ignorant on the situation or holder got him wrapped around his finger. bad blemish on a new prez.

I think that Sean Sutton should have been given at least one more year to see if he could turn the program around. He dismissed some players, who were a distraction to the team, before the season and then he had a projected starter transfer. Those factors, as well as the mandate he was under, should have been taken into consideration in this decision. Mike Holder certainly had his tongue in cheek when he said that he lost sleep over this decision. He didn't make any move without T.Boone's blessing, so it was not entirely a mutual decision. I don't care how much money and influence you throw at a university, a winning tradition takes awhile to acheive.

Just my thoughts.

I believe Sean should have been given two more years to implement his system and get his type of recruits for his system. I think people forget that he had a recruit sign with OSU and then bolted for the NBA and never set foot on campus. Mike K. of Duke had a worse record in his first two years than did Sean and he was give the opportunity to right the ship, I think Sean should be give than same opportunity. I also think AD Holder is doing a disservice to recruits that may want to attend OSU, giving them the appearance of, "If your coach doesn't get it done in 2 years he's out and your left with someone else." It just doesn't make sense to let Sean go, right now. He deserves at least 2 more years to get the ball rolling. There's too much of an "INSTANT GRATIFICATION" attitude out there and people need to learn that "The best things always take time." I guess there are too many people in charge that want things to happen yesterday and have no patience for things to work out at the right pace, the right time and the right way.
