Oklahoma City police have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of another man at an intersection on Oct. 19.
James Leroy Green II was arrested Wednesday on a complaint of murder. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, police said.
Police said a man pulled his white pickup behind Ricky Lee Smith, 53, about noon on Oct. 19 on S Blackwelder Avenue near Interstate 240 Service Road.
The man in the pickup stepped out of his vehicle, walked up to Smith's sport utility vehicle, which was stopped at the stop sign, and shot Smith, according to witnesses.
Smith died at a hospital three days later.
On Wednesday, investigators interviewed Green at the apartment complex where Smith lived and worked. Master Sgt. Gary Knight said Green did not live at the complex, but has a girlfriend who lives there.
