Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies and Oklahoma City police conducted a joint sting operation at Bingo City, 4443 NW 50, about 7 p.m., Oklahoma County sheriff's spokesman Mark Myers said. About 50 patrons and 20 employees were inside the business at the time. The patrons were allowed to leave while employees were questioned and twenty phone card machines that operated as slot machines were taken, he said.

Deputies and officers conducted a month of research before executing the search warrant at the business, Myers said.

Who owns the machines was still being determined Wednesday night, but the owner could face a felony complaint of commercial gambling, and a misdemeanor complaint of possession of a slot machine, he said.

If they are an indian tribe..then they are just fine. Let an average person try and set up gambling and.....oh my no...we can't have that immoral gambling going on!!! When will the hypocrisy end??? This state kills me how we don't have dice or roulette wheels in our casinos. Apparently THEY are just too evil. However, we are the only state that I know of that allows our 18 year olds to gamble away their Mcdonalds money!

Of course I am sure the deputies are not playing poker for money but hey jeez the jailers ect are way underpaid while the "government" eleced officials are just reaping the benefits. What a scam.

Illegal schmeagle. If one type gambling is legal or illegal, they all should be legal or illegal. What is the difference between flipping pennies or going to a casino ? Oh! With flipping pennies the Gov. doesn't get a cut but it does with the machines. After all, everyone knows "it's for the kids."
