OSU gets 2011 commitment from Texas defensive back Quentin Sargent
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State has tapped into the football program at Arlington (Texas) Bowie High again.
Bowie defensive back Quentin Sargent committed to the Cowboys on Wednesday according to multiple internet reports. The 5-11, 163-pounder will join 2010 signees Montra Nelson and Diamonte Wheeler as former Bowie standouts in the Pokes program.
Sargent, who picked OSU over Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, BYU, Houston and others, is a three-star prospect on Rivals.com and Scout.com.
"The biggest factors in my decision were the education and the distance," he told OStateIllustrated.com. "Education was one of the things they promised I would get and I really respected that. It's not too far for my family, they can drive up there anytime they want to."
Sargent is the 16{+t}{+h} known commitment in the Cowboys' class of 2011. He joins Lyndell Johnson, Miketavius Jones and Isaac Maselera as defensive back commitments for OSU.
