"He is a great quarterback, he is a great young man, he is humble in victory, he is gracious in defeat,” Rep. Mary Fallin said Monday in support of the resolution she authored for the OU sophomore.

The House passed the resolution 394-0 on Tuesday.

Fallin, R-Oklahoma City, said Bradford could have chosen the NFL Draft and money this year "but decided to go back to school to earn his degree.”

The resolution says Bradford, a finance major, has a 3.95 grade-point average.

Bradford, 21, was the second sophomore to win the Heisman.

The text of the House resolution is available at http://blog.newsok.com/washington.

bradford's not coming back for his degree. he won't be finished by the time he's drafted a little over a year from now. he WILL get his degree but not in the next year. im sure troy didn't lose sleep over his 'unfinished business' the past 20 years and sam won't either.

Bradford made the right call IMO to come back for the degree. Aikman took 20 years to finish. I wouldn't want unfinished business hanging over me for that long no matter what the bank account says. People who finish what they start are to be admired and copied. Sam does not need NFL millions to be successful and he is special because he already knew it.
