Gallery has ‘green’ exhibit

IAO Gallery, 811 N Broadway, will host a reception from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday to mark the opening of the juried exhibit "Rethink: Recycle: Redesign.” The exhibit incorporates art, geospatial mapping, local foods and green design to promote environmental awareness. SHAWNEE — Habitat for Humanity of Shawnee will host its annual Fiesta Dinner and Auction on Tuesday. The fundraising event will be at First Baptist Church, 10th and Union. Meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Auction items will be available for viewing during the meals. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door. For tickets, call 214-0434.

The German Shepherd Dog Club of Oklahoma will offer its last spring session of obedience training starting Tuesday. Classes will be at the National Guard Armory, 200 NE 23. Courses include basic obedience, rally and beginning agility. All breeds are welcome. The cost for the six-week program is $40.
