Twenty illegal gaming machines were confiscated at a northwest Oklahoma City bingo hall Wednesday night, authorities said.
Oklahoma County sheriff’s deputies and Oklahoma City police conducted a joint sting operation at Bingo City, 4443 NW 50, about 7 p.m., Oklahoma County sheriff’s spokesman Mark Myers said. About 50 patrons and 20 employees were inside the business at the time. The patrons were allowed to leave while employees were questioned and twenty phone card machines that operated as slot machines were taken, he said.
Deputies and officers conducted a month of research before executing the search warrant at the business, Myers said.
Who owns the machines was still being determined Wednesday night. The owner could face a felony complaint of commercial gambling, and a misdemeanor complaint of possession of a slot machine, he said.
