The language immersion classes are for everyone from beginning students who want to learn basic Spanish to advanced students who want to practice their reading, writing and speaking skills.

Norman's Spanish-speaking population has grown in recent years, so the need for those who work with the public to know some conversational and situational Spanish phrases has increased, Messer said. The classes are conducted entirely in Spanish. They are designed to help participants gain experience and confidence with the language.

The classes will last two hours. Registration isn't required. A textbook will be available for purchase but is not required for the class.
