Norman man accused of beating two people
NORMAN — A Norman man is in Cleveland County jail with bail set at $10,000 after being accused of beating two people.
Johnny James Harvey, 20, was charged Monday with aggravated assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
According to a court affidavit, Harvey hit and kicked two people July 1 at his home in the 700 block of N Findlay Avenue. One person suffered two broken teeth, facial fractures, a skull fracture and bleeding on the brain; the other had swelling on her forehead and left side of her face.
Both people were sent to
Norman Regional Hospital for treatment.
In a separate case,
Jeremy Henshaw, 20, was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and unlawful possession of drug proceeds.
Henshaw, of
Shawnee, is accused of transporting three compressed bricks of marijuana and $1,100 in a friend’s vehicle. A Cleveland County deputy made the arrest July 3 during a traffic stop at State Highway 9 and Alameda Street.
