Linzy Earles appeared in court Thursday for a review of her progress, and she was found to be in "substantial” compliance with probation requirements, a court record shows.

Special Judge Terry Bitting scheduled another review of Earles’ case for Oct. 22 — two days before her 19th birthday. In juvenile court cases, officials must relinquish jurisdiction when a person turns 19.

Earles is on probation for second-degree manslaughter in the death of her infant son.
