Analyst: OU, get over it
On FSN's "Best Damn Sports Show Period" Wednesday night, FSN Pac-10 game analyst Petros Papadakis criticized OU's threat to cancel future games at Pac-10 schools. "Part of college football is overcoming adversity," he said. "They should be better than that. I mean, get over it. Stop with the politicking. Let's play football."

HBO Sports' "Wait 'Til Next Year: the Saga of the Chicago Cubs," which will debut at 9 p.m. Tuesday, traces the team's history through the eyes of the loyal fans who flock to Wrigley Field every season, even though the team last won a World Series in 1908.
Among those interviewed are actor Jeff Garlin, sportscasters Bryant Gumbel and Bob Costas, journalist Michael Wilbon and Cubs greats Ryne Sandberg, Ron Santo, Fergie Jenkins and Billy Williams.

• Jimmy Johnson, a former Oklahoma State and University of Miami coach, will return to the college ranks to serve as Fox Sports' studio analyst for its BCS bowl coverage, joining host Chris Rose.
• KEBC-AM 1340 is airing "Friday Night Finals," 10:06 p.m. to midnight Fridays. Host Jim Reagan, who started the high school football scoreboard show in 1990, is joined by former Dallas Cowboys announcer David Garrett and ONN sportscaster Greg Merick.
• The University of Central Oklahoma is offering free streaming video to its home football games at www.bronchosports.com. Also featured will be video of home volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball and wrestling games.
• Iowa State coach Dan McCarney will the guest on "The Big 12 Preview Show," 8:30 a.m. Saturday on CSTV, and 5:30 p.m. tonight and 11:30 a.m. Saturday on Cox 7. The show is co-hosted by Jack Mildren and Rick Heath.
• "The Oklahoma High School Sports Express," 7:30 p.m. Sunday on KAUT-43, will have features on Okeene's undefeated football team and the Chesapeake junior crew rowing team.
• TNT NBA analyst Kenny Smith is hosting his 2nd annual Katrina Relief Charity event this weekend in New Orleans. Among the NBA players participating in the fund-raising event and community outreach projects are Hornets guard Chris Paul, Baron Davis, Alonzo Mourning, Mike James, Kenyon Martin and former NBA players Kiki Vandewhege and Wayman Tisdale.
