Monty Python's, Always look on the bright side of life.
A song about Fools Rushing in, where Angels fear to trod..... reminds me not to rush into things involving finances and long-term commitments. In hind sight, it has kept me from making a lot of mistakes over the years.
Suzan, I'm happy the Holy Spirit saved you. Every time those things happen it really builds faith. "Trust and obey, for there's no other way, to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey."
I am also a K-Love listener. Since I can't pick it up on my radio at work, I listen to it online. There is nothing like listening to great Christian music all day long to help relieve the stress. All the songs are soothing and they all speak to me in some way or another. My two favorites are "I can only Imagine," by MercyMe and "Give me words to speak" by Aaron Shust. Go to YouTube and type in their names...then watch their wonderful Christian videos.
I always have a song in my head. Music does soothe the savage beast._______Gail, speaking of KLOVE, one time in traffic I heard a voice telling me to turn on the radio, I can't remember which song was playing but it was on KLOVE. Immediately after I turned it on a car almost ran me off the road and 2 others wrecked. I knew then and I know now that voice was the Grace of God.
Many times, I listen (and support) KLOVE. The new version of Amazing Grace is so uplifting as are most of the songs. I'm awful with song titles but there is a song that talks about running with the angels on streets made of gold, that's where you'll find me. That song helps me through this grief process of losing a parent.
Whenever I get down and all stressed out, the #1 song that just makes me smile and think "don't sweat the small stuff" is Travis Tritt's "It's A Great Day to be Alive". I love that song!
There is a song that pretty well explained the lifestyle of many during shortages around WW 2. "It's what you do with what you've got, not what you could with what you've not. It's what you do with what you've got, that pays off in the end." Sometimes things were so rough we got to thinking we could do anything with nothing.
I have music on 24/7. It is my best de-stresser. I think this mother teaching her little girl "911 Green" in a song is wonderful! Maybe we could get her to teach it at pre-schools.
I used to think about the George Harrison song "All Things Must Pass" when in the Army during the Vietnam era. It was kind of a hard time for me, and repeating that phrase made it seem like I could go on.
911 song helps girl, 3, get aid for mother 06/24/2008 GUTHRIE — Simple song lyrics helped a 3-year-old Guthrie girl get help for her mother who had fainted. Jessica Eaves, 24, taught her daughter, Madelyn, a...
