Two men sought in Oklahoma City rape case
A woman reported to Oklahoma City police two men abducted her and raped her Sunday. Police are looking for information in the case, including the driver of a red Jeep Cherokee who may have seen the woman's vehicle near Purcell.
Police are trying to find two men wanted in connection with the reported kidnapping and rape of a woman, Oklahoma City police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said Thursday.
A 36-year-old woman told police she went to pick up a family member Sunday at a bar near SW 59 and S Western Avenue when she was approached by two men, a police report states.
The men pushed her against her vehicle, forced her into the back seat and restrained her before driving away with her, the report states.
The woman told police she was taken to a rural road near Purcell where she was raped.
The men drove her back to the south side of Oklahoma City where they got out of her vehicle and walked away. The woman freed herself and called police, Wardlow said.
During the time they were on the isolated road, the woman told police, she saw someone driving an older model red Jeep Cherokee on 150th or 180th avenues SE, west of State Highway 74.
"This person might have information that is crucial to this case," Wardlow said.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward.
