Oklahoma City homicide detectives investigate Edmond bicyclist's death
Suspicious details have surfaced in the death of Alan Spencer, 56, of Edmond, who was struck by a vehicle and killed July 17 while riding his bicycle in northeast Oklahoma City, police say.
Citing "suspicious circumstances" surrounding the hit-and-run death of a bicycle rider in northeast Oklahoma City, police have turned the case over to homicide detectives and are asking for the public's help.

Alan Spencer, 56, was riding a bicycle at 8:05 a.m. July 17 when he was struck by a vehicle in the 12500 block of N Midwest Blvd. The driver left the scene and never reported the incident to police.
Today, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said anyone with information about the wreck should call a police homicide tip line.
Police did not elaborate on the "suspicious circumstances" in the case.
Spencer, of Edmond, was a drag car racer before beginning a career in home development, according to an obituary.
On July 18, Clyde Riggs, 75, an Oklahoma City businessman, was killed riding his bicycle in the 5200 block of E Britton Road. The driver of a vehicle involved in that accident was not cited at the scene for any wrongdoing.
A memorial for both men was July 22 when about 400 cyclists gathered on Midwest Boulevard near the scene of Spencer's death, then rode to the spot where Riggs was killed.
