Police think the driver was in a black 2003 to 2005 Dodge extended cab or crew cab pickup when the accident happened. The truck likely will have significant damage to its grille and should be missing its driver's side tail light assembly, police Sgt. Paco Balderrama said. The truck is believed to have chrome wheels and a chrome cover on its tailgate handle.

About 3 a.m. Sunday, the pickup hit William Booth, 29, in the 4500 block of NW 16, Balderrama said. The pickup was seen going north on Meridian from NW 16.

Booth is in critical condition at a local hospital with severe head and massive internal injuries, as well as possible spinal cord injuries, Balderrama said.

Those with information about the driver and vehicle are asked to call Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers at 235-7300 or send a text message to (405) 415-5666.
