Crowd 'motivated' to eliminate debt

Oklahomans 'got motivated' and filled the 20,000-seat Ford Center to capacity for the Get Motivated! Business Seminar on Wednesday.

The crowd was told about business and financial skills, to eliminate debt and take control of their finances. Zig Ziglar, motivating expert, led off the event.

Carol Wight , director of communication and marketing for Southern Nazarene University, attended the event to hear Ziglar.

"(Ziglar) said you can get what you want in life, when you help others get what they want in life," Wight said.

"It's not about getting a better job. It's not about getting more money," financial expert Suze Orman said. "It's about doing more with the money that you already have."

The event also featured lessons in finances, sales, competitiveness and leadership. University of Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops led the lesson on competitiveness, while former of New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani spoke about leadership.
