U.S. Sen. Tom Coburn meets court pick; Sen. Jim Inhofe declines opportunity
WASHINGTON — Sen. Tom Coburn had a private visit on Thursday with U.S. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor and said they had a "philosophical discussion.”
"General stuff,” Coburn said when asked what the two talked about. "What she likes, what she doesn’t like. It was more a philosophical discussion (about) life, problems in our country, difficulties we face.”...
