Cleveland County says water district needs time

NORMAN — Cleveland County commissioners agreed Monday to ask for an extension on a grant to help install a rural water system.

The commissioners approved a request by Daryl Covey , chairman of Cleveland County Rural Water District No. 1, for an extension of a request for a $250,000 Community Development Block Grant. The extension will give the water district until May 30 to begin work on the water system.
