At stake: House Bill 1092 allows an expired Oklahoma driver’s license to be considered a valid form of identification for the purpose of renewing the license up to 30 days past expiration. Now those seeking to renew an expired license must first show a Public Safety Department examiner or tag agent proof of legal residency through a valid passport, a certified birth certificate or a visa.
