SEVERAL SOAP STARS MAKE APPEARANCES ON "THE NEWLYWED GAME"
Q. Is the actress who plays Victoria on "The Young and the Restless" pregnant in real life? -- N.G.
A. Yes, Amelia Heinle and her husband, Thad Luckinbill, who plays JT on the soap, are expecting their second child together, a girl. They share a son named Rowe, who was born in 2007, and Amelia also has a son named August with her ex-husband Michael Weatherly, who stars on "NCIS."
Heinle and Luckinbill recently appeared on a new version of "The Newlywed Game," hosted by Carnie Wilson on the Game Show Network. Also look for Ronn Moss (Ridge, "The Bold and the Beautiful") and his new bride, Devin Devasquez, to appear on the game show this January.

Q. Whatever happened to the first actress who played Lois on "General Hospital"? She's one of my favorite characters of all time in soaps. -- R.E.
A. Rena Sofer, who played the role of Lois Cerullo on "GH" from 1994 to 1996, has been very busy since leaving the soap, landing regular roles on several prime-time series, including "Melrose Place," ''24" and "Heroes." She also recently starred in the Hallmark Channel movie "Always and Forever," with Dean McDermott, who is married to Tori Spelling.
Sofer and her former "GH" co-star Wally Kurth (ex-Ned) are divorced in real life, but they share a daughter together. Sofer is now married to TV director Sanford Bookstaver.

Q. Why is "All My Children" getting rid of the character of Colby? I really liked her scenes with Pete, but they hardly show the young couple together anymore. -- W.E.
A. "AMC" has decided to recast the role when it moves to Los Angeles next year, so they decided not to renew Brianne Moncrief's contract. Moncrief was actually a recast herself, taking over the role of Colby Chandler after Ambyr Childers was let go in 2008. The new Colby will be played by Natalie Hall, whose previous credits include appearances on "The Good Wife" and "Law Order: SVU."

Q. Why are Bo and Hope on the outs on "Days of Our Lives"? I hope they don't stay apart for long. -- P.E.
A. When their daughter Ciara was kidnapped, Bo (Peter Reckell) didn't want to pay the ransom. He had a psychic vision that the kidnapper killed Ciara anyway, even after receiving the money. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) was very upset that he would risk their daughter's life this way. Fortunately, Ciara returned home safely, but Hope moved out and is living in father-in-law Victor's (John Aniston) mansion for the time being.
