Conference: Big 12
→
Record: 7-0 overall; 3-0 Big 12
→
Last game: Defeated
Missouri 41-7 in
Columbia. Led by
Colt McCoy’s three touchdown passes, the Longhorns dominated Missouri after taking a 35-7 lead.
→
Best player: Colt McCoy. The senior quarterback is 3-0 against
OSU and entered the season as one of the favorites for the Heisman. After struggling early this season, McCoy seems to be finding his rhythm in
Big 12 play.
→
Why they could win: The game will last four quarters. OSU has played great against the Longhorns in the first half in recent years, often grabbing comfortable leads. Then the second half and/or fourth quarter begins and the Longhorns have rallied to hand the Pokes a disappointing loss.
→
Why they could lose: The Cowboys are playing as well right now as they have all season. Robinson is playing like an All-Big 12 performer, the defense is getting better every week and the offensive line appears to have jelled.
→
Noteworthy: Receiver
Jordan Shipley had seven catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns against Missouri. ... Safety Earl Thomas ranks third in the nation with five interceptions this season. ...
Texas has allowed 289 rushing yards (1.5 yards per carry), ranking No. 1 in the nation in rushing yards allowed.

UT leads nation in rush defense 1.9 YPC,if UT can maintain this level it would make OSU one dimensional therefore giving the edge to UT.
This is a big "if" however as OSU has been able to run on everybody so far.
This wil be the best rush defense by far that OSU has faced w exception of upcoming OU game.
This has the possibility of a break out game for OSU nationally,we all know that but OSU has to win to prove it belongs w elite of college football.
