Why Bradford will win
Statistically, no player had a better season than Bradford. In fact, no Heisman quarterback has had a better statistical season than Bradford ever. He also has the advantage of having led his team to the national title game.

Why McCoy will win
In the preseason, many predicted Texas would finish third in the Big 12 South. But thanks to McCoy, the Longhorns came one dropped interception away from going undefeated.

Not only was McCoy one of the nation’s best passers, he led Texas in rushing, too.

Why Tebow will win
Tebow began the season as the overwhelming favorite to repeat as the Heisman winner. After a slow start, he exploded over the last two months of the season to lead the Gators to an SEC title and national championship appearance.

Tebow tossed 28 touchdowns to just two interceptions, and rushed for another 12 scores.

Texas did finish third in the Big12 South.... If McCoy wins it, it will be because of the sympathy vote..... If Tewbo wins it, his giong to prisons and preaching to the inmates and his vacations in the Philippines mat sway the vote enough..... For Bradford to win, it would have to be a vote of his accomplishments on the football field. I just think in the past it became a popularity contest more than anything else. If Bradford can't win it I would rather see Tebow win. That would give OU more motivation in Miami..... But again, my picks haven't been very good lately.

I have already conceded Bradford not winning. The Heisman will be re-named the ESPY award and will be presented on TTN (Tim Tebow Network).

I know this might not be reliable information, but it is a little bit of good news for Bradford.

Yeah, and that 576 yard rusher beat us, when we let them off the hook in the second half. Texas willed themselves to win that game, and played "way over their heads" that day! Hats off to them. If OU would have taken care of business that day Graham Harrell might have been in NYC for tonight's ceremony instead of Colt McCoy.

Does anyone else wonder how a team like texas can have a leading rusher with only 576 yards. And the fact it is the quarterback makes it even worse. Is that a good reason to add to Colts credentials. No. The fact that he rushes for 576 is impressive. To say that he is the teams leading rusher only lets us know how weak their rushing attach is.

despite the fact that many TV commentators love Tebow, the majority of those don't vote for the trophy, I think there are a lot of former winners and voters who don't want to see another two time winner regardless of who it is, I think that is why Bradford and McCoy have a good shot and as much as it pains me to say it I would rather see McCoy win it then Teabag. Plus there are other players that deserve to at least be at the ceremony, why only three, Greene the running back from Iowa should be there

Take it FWIW - the early straw polls indicate Sam with a slight lead. It will be interesting.
