→Mascot: Jayhawks
→Conference: Big 12
→Record: 5-1
→Last game: Running back Jake Sharp’s two fourth-quarter touchdown runs helped put away Colorado, 30-14.
→Best player: At only 5-foot-11, 200 pounds, quarterback Todd Reesing plays big. He’s completed 71.5 percent of his passes and thrown for 1,980 yards and 15 touchdowns to just three interceptions.
→Why they could win: The Jayhawks love to air it out, which is what Texas did in its 45-35 victory over the Sooners.
→Why they could lose: Kansas hasn’t been good on the road this year, with a loss at South Florida and a near loss at Iowa State. The Jayhawks also have struggled at times defending the pass.

I dont know if Oklahoma can win this game unless its in a shootout.
If Jayhawks defense comes to play on saturday, then OU has got big problem on there hands because they wont be able to stop there offense....I will say OU 38 Kansas 35 but I would not be shocked if KU beat them this saturday.
Hopefully we put some pressure on Reesing and get some sacks and force turnovers. And hopefully we kick the ball out of the endzone every time we tee it up!!! That will give us a better chance at winning after we score the 6 or 7 touchdowns I think we will score against the Jayhawks.
Kansas' best reciever threat is playing injured, but he's a quarterback at heart and knows how to read a defense, but he got creamed last time he played OU in 2005.
Todd Reesing is a great quarterback, but he's no Colt McCoy and he doesn't have the weapons. Secondly, Kansas doesn't have a true rush threat. Unlike Texas, where they found its threat agaisnt Colorado, Kansas has yet to find one.
Texas had TWO recievers with 100+ yards or have we forgotten about Quan Cosby already? Texas did something unique lining up Shipley at tight end. Kansas won't mirror that. And you develop a connection rooming with a reciever if you're the quarterback. They've known each other all their lives. There dads roomed together while playing for Texas. As far as I know, that's also not the case with Kansas.
And you guys are missing one incredible OU advantage. The game's in Norman and OU's coming off a loss to TEXAS. OU's going to come out angry, hungry. It's just a shame that Kansas had to be the team that has to face OU next.
That is so painful... but it's true..
The defense just isn't able to press the issue
with any success... We don't dominate anything... on that side of the ball..
If Kansas wants to score on OU here is how to do it; just watch OU line up in a soft zone coverage 10-15 yards off the receiver and just nickle and dime us down the field. Our pass coverage strategy is "let the guy get open and pray he doesn't catch it".
Sure they aired it out. It's Monday morning and Shipley is STILL wide open over the middle. He had 112 yards receiving. When they needed a big pass play, they got it.
