The Sooners will start out in Birmingham, Ala., which feeds into the East Regional. Other teams in Oklahoma's bracket include top-ranked North Carolina, No. 2 seed Tennessee and third-seeded Louisville.

If the Sooners can win their first-round game, either Louisville or 14th-seeded Boise State would be their second-round opponent.

Very nice gift from the NCAA for the non-conference wins and winning Big 12 record!! Sooners should beat St Joe's by 5 and they will definitely have a good chance against Louisville.

Wait a minute.....time out.....did I see "BOISE STATE" would be up next for the Sooners if we get past St. Joes? I don't want us anywhere near a team in blue and orange again - much less it being the real deal in the form of the Broncos. Surely it was a misprint. Surely.

Do you suppose we could replace Senator Obama with Jeff Capel? I realize he doesn't have a lot of government experience, but he is impressive and appears to be one class act! I really like him and he has real substance! He gets my vote! Congratulations, Sooners!

Congrats to Capel and the team. Great year. I'm thrilled that OU is in the dance, especially since Capel doesn't have much to work with. This has been a great year, no matter what happens in the tourney.

I'm pretty surprised by a 6 seed, but I probably shouldn't be. The committee takes injuries into factor, and they'd see that 3 game losing streak without Longar in the lineup. That mixed in with our strong RPI and SOS. They deserved it. St. Joes is a tough opponent, and all their fans think they already have this game won. Same with all the ESPN "experts." If nobody thinks OU can win, then they probably will. See: @ Oklahoma State. Both OU and SJU have inconsistencies. I think our bigs are better than theirs, but their guards are better than ours. If our guards come out to play, I see OU winning. Gonna be tough, though.

All Aggies should try and role out for the big game against Southern Illinios. I think it's a joke that OSU is a 5 seed after losing at home to OU..........................OH WAIT, THEY'RE a 5 SEED IN THE FREAKIN NOT INVITED TOURNAMENT, NOT THE NCAA>>>>>>>> HAHAHAHAHAHA.... FREAKIN LOSER AZZ AGGIES>>>>>>

Congrats to the Sooners and the Big 12 for getting six teams in this year. St. Joe's is a tough matchup, but OU is back in the Big Dance!

Good job Jeff. Just making it in with what you had to work with, made this a great year for OU. I'll be buying 2 season tickets next year.

Don't be too hard on the Stoolwater Aggies, beating
them at home helped get that #6 seed.

WOW No.6, If anyone dosen't know about Philly basketball schools, OU hasn't beat one in forever. OU has lost to Villanova(twice), and Temple in the past decade. OU can beat St. Joseph's but it's gonna beat tough. St. Joes has a better team than OU. Easily they have more consisitent guard play and they are tough down low. OU's gotta hit alot of 3's and convert freethrows to get to round 2.

If some of you guys already know OU is going to get
beat, someone call Capel and tell him not to go and
save the money.

Kelly, are u kidding??? "Hard work" pays off?!?! For once, Barry is right, the 6-seed they got is a joke, an insult to more qualified teams, which are numerous. Maybe a 10 - 12 seed would have been appropriate. This pretty much guarantees that they won't get bounced out in the first round. And they could even get past the second round as well. But that's it. My prediction is 1-1 the first weekend, and then back to Norman. Look out for St. Joseph's though, Martelli is a savvy coach.

Capel and the boys had better make the most of it because this is nothing short of a gift from the NCAA. A 6-seed, wow.

I am somewhat surprised by a number 6 seeding. The outside shot had better make an appearance or it is bye bye faster than you can say NCAA. Griffin cannot do it alone as demonstrated over and over again.
