OU is no closer to naming a starter at quarterback. And all three combatants remain in the picture heading into August.
Sam Bradford (9-of-14, 110 yards, 1 TD): Once again, Bradford was the most steady and reliable of the quarterbacks. He put up the best numbers, and threw the best pass — a 23-yard strike to walk-on Carter Whitson.
Joey Halzle (7-of-18, 162 yards, 1 TD, 1 Int): The junior threw a nice touchdown pass to Adron Tennell, but also forced several passes into coverage. His interception came on a pass to a well-covered tight end.
Keith Nichol (3-of-7, 25 yards): Again played a more limited role than the other quarterbacks, and the lack of statistics reflect that. But Nichol appeared more comfortable in the huddle and on the field than he had in earlier scrimmages, and he made several plays with his legs.
