"Pinturas de Fe: The Retablo Tradition in Mexico and New Mexico” is a traveling exhibit from the Museum of New Mexico. "Pinturas de Fe” is Spanish for "Paintings of Faith.”

Retablos are two-dimensional paintings with religious themes, usually painted on wooden boards or tin.

The retablo tradition has evolved in the Americas from the time of the Spanish Conquest. Contemporary artists from diverse cultural backgrounds draw inspiration from the popular art form.

The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $8.50 for adults, $7 for ages 62 and older, $4 for ages 7-12 and free for ages 6 and younger.
