Next stop for A.D.?

Published: January 16, 2007

It's early, with the NFL Combine and pro days and much War Room haggling still to be done. Still, several teams have a clear need for an impact runner, hinting at possible draft destinations for A.D.:

•1. Oakland: Most expect the Raiders to go for a quarterback, making LSU's JaMarcus Russell or Notre Dame's Brady Quinn the likely pick here. But the Silver and Black need better than Justin Fargas and Lamont Jordan carrying the ball.

•2. Detroit: Kevin Jones faces an offseason of rehab from a foot injury, but is a good back and only 24. The Lions greatest need is at quarterback. Still, they're the Lions. And they don't always do what is expected.

•3/4. Cleveland: A coin toss with Tampa Bay will determine who picks third. The Browns need playmakers across the board, running back included. Ruben Droughns ran for just 758 yards and four TDs.
