Fatty foods get shelved in schools
Education: Healthier meals promoted

Vici Grimes never thought she'd see kids get excited about fresh fruits and vegetables.

As part of a pilot project begun last year in Stillwater Public Schools, the child nutrition coordinator started buying fresh produce from Whitmore Farms in Coyle. Now, along with pizza and fries, Stillwater students have daily access to fresh strawberries, asparagus, squash and similar foods.
