Now or then: Time to order Big 12 South rings?

In 2002, Oklahoma and Texas tied for first place in the Big 12 South Division. OU went to the league title game courtesy of a 35-24 victory over UT. Texas coach Mack Brown still had rings produced for his players, commemorating the South Division co-championship.

Will the Sooners do the same? If OU beats Baylor and Oklahoma State, the Sooners can do no worse than a tie for first place in the South.

Don't bet on it.

"You know us better than that," OU coach Bob Stoops said. "Our standards are what they are, and they won't change."
