Earlier this season, Oklahoma senior Jason Carter once compared himself to a country dog who has to eat when he gets the chance. That was Carter's way of saying he doesn't get on the field much and when he does, he has to take advantage of it. In that case, today — Senior Day — should give the Jenks product some extra motivation.

Running out of the tunnel for every home game, feeling the crowd every time something big happens on defense or offense or special teams, I'll miss that a lot.
Being in (the film room) with the 12 other guys in the defensive back group, I've been somewhat of a mentor to a lot of them, so I'm gonna miss that a lot.
Got to live with it at some point. I can't stay here forever, can't play forever. At some point, it has to come to an end.
We've got friends that came in with us, some that are playing professional football, some that are just at home, sitting and eating chicken now. You can get a feel of how we feel right now. It's kind of like we're ready to get it over with and then it's kind of like, no, we don't want to yet.
I don't know what I'm gonna feel like after Saturday. I won't be able to get back out there (on Owen Field) in a uniform. Ever. It will (be emotional), but I won't show it to any of these young guys or anything. I don't want them having to see me like that.
I guarantee once I go home, a lot of my family's gonna be down here, so they're gonna be at the house and we're gonna get to talking. I'll get to reminiscing about the four years that I've had here and the extra year I had watching the older guys in front of me.
It will be a real emotional game once the game is over, because I'll finally realize I'll never smell that grass again as a player.
