Stoops enjoying a solid season despite setbacks
Sooner coach maintaining his edge after problems on and off the field

NORMAN — Bob Stoops nearly launched himself out over the airwaves from Texas A&M late Saturday night, his adrenaline-charged voice jumping while recounting his bold take-an-inch moment for the radio masses.

The stoic Stoops so often seen? Not in this locker room.

This Stoops was stoked.

"Yeah, he was pretty excited," Sooners quarterback Paul Thompson said with a laugh.

"OK, real excited."
