Kelly happy with win — despite one catch
Wideout Malcolm Kelly was glad Oklahoma pulled out a 17-16 victory at Texas A&M last weekend. It was the way it happened that bugged him — at least a little bit.

Kelly expressed disappointment after Monday's practice over the lack of passing game in the Sooner win. The team's leading receiver caught only one pass for seven yards, and OU finished the game just 3-of-12 for 39 yards. Meanwhile, the Sooners carried the ball 45 times for 224 yards and two scores.

"You play receiver because you want to catch the ball," said Kelly, who a week ago became the fastest Sooner to reach 1,000 career receiving yards. "For me to say that any receiver doesn't get mad if they don't catch a pass, then I'm not telling the truth about that.

"We did what we had to do. I'd rather come away with a win. You can catch seven or eight balls a game, but then you're 0-10. That doesn't really do that much good."

Kickoff set: OU's game at Baylor on Nov. 18 has been set for 11 a.m., picked up by Fox Sports Net for television.

That sets the TV times for the Sooners' remaining regular season games, all to be carried by Fox. Saturday's meeting with Texas Tech will be at 6 p.m., with the Nov. 25 game at Oklahoma State at 1:30 p.m.

Coming back: The run of the year for the Sooners has to be Allen Patrick's 78-yard romp against A&M, which featured a spin move and a brush-by of a defender.

Except it didn't count, wiped out by a holding call against Kelly.
