Heritage Hall kicker sets national record
Heritage Hall senior Jimmy Stevens set the national high school record for career field goals on Friday night.
Stevens kicked a 26-yarder in the second quarter during the Chargers’ district game against Bethel in Oklahoma City . The field goal was the 49th of Stevens’ career. He passed previous record holders Brian Bond of Hacienda Heights , Calif. , and Tomas Sanchez of Arlington Heights , Texas .
