Missouri's offense had Oklahoma dazed and confused in the third quarter, gaining 148 yards, eight first downs and averaging one play every 16.9 seconds.
With running back Tony Temple out with a dislocated shoulder, the Tigers went with an empty backfield the entire second half and never once huddled. The only thing that slowed the Tigers' hurry-up offense was waiting for the official to place the ball.
