Special teams
Jason Carter blocked a punt for a safety, and OU made Missouri start inside its 20 after kickoffs and punts. The Sooners pinned the Tigers deep in the fourth quarter on a downed Mike Knall punt at the 3, setting up a Marcus Walker interception and an eventual Garrett Hartley field goal.

Offensive line
With true freshman Trent Williams starting at right tackle and backups filling temporary holes, OU's offensive line paved the way for 231 rushing yards.

Defense
The Sooners held the nation's No. 16 scoring offense to 10 points, picked off three passes and produced four total turnovers. They also rendered Mizzou's running backs useless, allowing a net of 1 yard on seven carries.
