Only a sophomore, Daniel has completed nearly 67 percent of his passes and is a threat to run the ball as well.

His performance this season is the biggest reason Missouri is 7-1 and ranked 23rd in the Associated Press and coaches' polls.

Quick-hitters
The Tigers have built their success on getting started quickly. They've scored 60 percent of their 265 total points in the first half.

Their most productive quarter has been the first, when they've scored 82 points.

The defense has been strong early as well, allowing the fewest of its total points (20) in the opening quarter.

Weak spot
The Tigers rank in the top 25 in most significant statistical categories, but if the Sooners are looking for a weakness to attack, the most glaring area is special teams.

Though Adam Crossett is averaging 40.3 yards per punt, the Tigers are allowing more than 10 yards per return.

On the other side, Missouri ranks 80th in the nation and 11th in the Big 12 in returning punts, averaging only 7.4 yards.

Last game
Missouri upended Kansas State 41-21, beating the Wildcats for the first time in the last 14 meetings.

Daniel threw for four touchdowns and 262 yards on 24-of-31 passing.
