OU's Heisman winners pull for A.D. before, after his injury

All hoped Peterson would win Trophy

NORMAN — Steve Owens , Billy Sims and Jason White all wanted the same thing for Adrian Peterson .

And if the late great Billy Vessels were still with us, he probably would have been the ringleader.

Oklahoma 's Heisman Trophy club wanted a fifth member. They wanted another statue erected in Heisman Park outside their football stadium.

Sadly, Peterson will never get to strike the pose.
