Last year's record: 7-6
Best player: Guard Brian Daniels, 6-foot-4, 305 pounds, is a potential second-round draft pick, and he won't make life easy for OU's defensive tackles. If Daniels isn't the team's best player, then kicker Mason Crosby is. He has made 12 field goals of 50 yards or longer in his career.
Why they could win: Oklahoma has only played one entire game without Adrian Peterson the last three seasons. Baylor took the Sooners to double-overtime in Norman last Oct. 22 before OU pulled it out, 37-30.
Why they could lose: Oklahoma is still the better team, and the Sooner defense is improving on a weekly basis. OU players will probably be out to prove they can win without Peterson.
Little known fact: Colorado's season-opening, 19-10 loss to Montana State wasn't just the Buffs' first-ever loss to an NCAA Division I-AA football team. It was their first-ever game against a I-AA team.
