Taking another look at OU's bowl possibilities:
• Alamo Bowl: The San Antonio bowl's hopes of landing the Sooners for the first time get a boost if OU loses a game or two. Odds: 2-1.
• Cotton Bowl: Winning out might be necessary, although the other leading contenders — Nebraska, Missouri, Texas A&M — show enough flaws to suggest the Big 12's entrant will carry multiple losses into Big D. Odds: 7-2.
• Gator Bowl: Figuring opportunities to get the Sooners are rare, Gator officials might make a move for OU. Odds: 5-1.
• Sun Bowl: The Gator and Sun share a single affiliation with the conference, with each site getting a Big 12 team twice in four years. Odds: 5-1.
• Insight Bowl: Not the trip to Greater Phoenix OU once envisioned. Odds: 12-1.
• Holiday Bowl: Hard to imagine the Holiday folks wanting OU back so soon. Odds: 15-1.
• Independence Bowl: Been there, done that. And at the time, it was exciting. Now, after reacquainting with the Orange and Sugar and discovering the Rose … not so much. Odds: 25-1.
• Houston Bowl: Or is it the Texas Bowl? Who knows? Odds: 35-1.
• Fiesta Bowl: If there was a wild scenario that kept this dream alive, no more. Odds: 100-1.
