The senior defensive end racked up a team-high eight tackles, including two for losses, and broke up a pass at the line. Expanding his value, he provided pressure on the pass rush, even moving inside to the nose tackle position in obvious passing downs.
Slowed by a bum ankle to start the season, Johnson has been slow getting untracked after he appeared on the verge of a breakout late last season. Against Texas, he emerged, matching a career high and doubling his season total with four receptions (for 55 yards).
