According to the Garden City Telegram, the 20-year-old Loadholt, 6-foot-9, 340 pounds, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Sunday and later released on $750 bond.
Police arrived on the scene where Loadholt was arguing with another man in front of a large crowd. After being pulled away by an officer, Loadholt later was seen allegedly throwing a punch at an unidentified man.
Oklahoma coaches cannot comment on a recruit until he has signed a letter of intent.
• Who picks what the Ducks wear?: Oregon fans won't know until the Ducks trot into Autzen Stadium on Saturday which of their 48 possible uniform combinations they will wear against the Sooners.
Oregon wore nine different combinations last season and two more this year, but the decision-making process has changed.
Last year, Oregon coach Mike Bellotti let his seniors decide which uniform the team would wear. This season, with 22 seniors, Bellotti and equipment manager Pat Conrad make the choice.
Oregon is adding to the selection process with a third helmet to complement the customary green one.
Though the Ducks have not yet worn their white helmets, production of a yellow one is in progress.
• Harris enjoying role: Oklahoma's Nic Harris likes his position, though he isn't always sure what that position is.
Harris is the first-team nickelback. He also works as a backup strong safety, free safety and strongside linebacker.
"Sometimes it gets mind-boggling," the sophomore said. "You have to understand all the different rotations."
With his varying position duties, he'll have both run and pass responsibilities Saturday, especially against Oregon's dual-threat quarterback Dennis Dixon.
"Being in the same mix with (linebackers) Rufus (Alexander) and Zach (Latimer), I've got to make sure the run fits are fine and make sure that I keep my part," Harris said. "It's all about being patient."
Harris' weight is always a popular topic. He's been listed at 226 all season and some coaches have said he's been close to 230 at times.
"My weight is very controversial," Harris said with a laugh, adding that he's currently at 219.
"As long as I can keep my speed and keep running, I'll play whatever coach (Brent Venables) wants me to play.
"If coach tells me to play the nickel, I'll play the nickel. If he tells me to play strong or free (safety), I'm gonna play that. If he tells me to go under water and hold my breath for 30 minutes, I'm gonna try to do that, too."
• Oklahoma connection: Two current Oregon defensive tackles were scooped up by the Ducks from an Oklahoma junior college.
Stillwater native Jeremy Gibbs, a 6-foot-3, 283-pound junior will start Saturday for Oregon. He and Dallas native Micah Howeth were recruited from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M last season.
Gibbs was a first-team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American after accumulating 91 tackles (42 unassisted) last season. He was rated as the nation's 45th-best junior college.
