Diverse musical acts take stage at Oklahoma State Fair

It's the second day of the 100th Oklahoma State Fair.

The exhibit halls are open, feasts of corn dogs and hot cinnamon rolls await, and don't forget all the entertainment.

Tonight, Disney on Ice follows the escapades of Bob, Helen, Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack as the superpowered family, when "Pixar's the Incredibles in a Magic Kingdom Adventure" takes flight in State Fair Arena.

Performances continue at 7:30 tonight, 11 a.m., 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 1:30 and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday, and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Toyota Stage is the place for free daily entertainment.

Enjoy the Latin sounds of regional Mexican music by La Indomable at 7:45 tonight. Country's bad boy Shooter Jennings will take the Toyota Stage at 7:45 p.m. Saturday. And Disney Channel star Raven will sing at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Centennial Rodeo Opry brings fans the best in current and classic country tunes at 7:45 p.m. Monday. Tuesday, hear KALAZH.

Practice your best sneers and don't miss the Elvis Extravaganza at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Thursday is Disco Night when Superfreak plays dancing hits starting at 7:45 p.m. Midnight Star will bring slow jams to the Toyota Stage at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 22.

Bowling for Soup will offer its pop flavors on the Toyota Stage at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 23.

Classic rockers Foghat will close the Toyota Stage at 3 p.m. Sept. 24.

Buy a ticket to the fast moving " Beauty and the Bulls" and hear Joe Dee Messina in concert Sept. 22 in State Fair Arena.

Ada native Blake Shelton comes to the big city to play after the Rip-Roaring PRCA Rodeo go-round at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The rodeo ends at 2 p.m. Sept. 24 with a concert by the high energy Sawyer Brown.

Additional fairgrounds entertainment includes De'Anna the Hypno- chick and M utual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Adventure Tour, both at the B-52 Entertainment Plaza; S inbad: In Search of the Golden Apple High Dive Show on the North Plaza; We lde's Big Bear Show and Grizzly Falls on the Bandshell Lawn; and the O klahoma City Philharmonic "Untuxed!" at OPUBCO Pavilion.
